General Information
Description of ServiceThis hotline number is for Veterans who are experiencing suicidal ideation, intent, plans or recent/current suicide attempts. Also for family and concerned friends of Veterans. Hotline can also be used for Veterans experiencing any kind of emotional/mental disorder or crisis. Trained VA Counselors will take the appropriate actions needed to keep the Veteran safe, including initiating a rescue utilizing local emergency responders and will also send an electronic computer based consult to the local VA Suicide Prevention Coordinator for follow up with Veteran as appropriate.
